MARCH 2025: BRAINTRUST

Hosted by Isabel Gutierrez Sanchez and Maria Juliana Byck

Mouries Braintrust & Dinner with Friends at Fydani Space

Mouries Collective hosted a special Braintrust gathering and dinner at Fydani Space, bringing together a small group of close collaborators, friends, and long-time supporters. This intimate evening was dedicated to reflecting on the collective’s work and imagining shared future directions.

The gathering began with a screening of Glimpses of Healing, Mending and Rewilding, a short film documenting the Healing Exercises: Inherited and (e)merging women’s knowledges for collective learning and interspecies connections project, followed by a preview of excerpts from an upcoming publication exploring Mouries’ evolving practice: Picnicking Matters: Big Questions and Tiny Revelations around Care and Healing Ecologies

Through a series of facilitated dialogues—starting in pairs and expanding into rotating circles—participants shared how Mouries has shaped their understanding of healing and care, how it has influenced their lives, and what aspects they might approach differently in the future. Discussions also explored how the collective’s practices resonate within the broader context of Athens, and how each person envisions their role in what comes next.

The evening closed with a collective reflection, as each participant responded in writing to the prompt: “Now we could, now it seems possible to…”
