We were happy to host a talk and a pop up exhibition of the work in progress resulting from the residency Herbarium of Resilience, where Mouries Collective member Eliana Otta @eliana.otta participated.

The residency occurred recently in Paliomilos, in the north of Evia, and responded to the fires which disappeared acres of forest there in 2021.

Mouries visited the burned land in 2022 and created the video Ritual for a Burned Forest. We discussed about our exploration through this encounter and other common interests with the residency’s participants: Franziska Anz, Ambra Rosedorne, Francesca Bertin @francesca__bertin , Elena Friedrich @elena.friedrich2001 , Ioanna Papanikolaou, Melisanthi Karampatsou, Iris Baartman.

We had a touching and very informative conversation about how is it to work with the land in times of increasing fires and climate disasters, and reconnected with our old friend, the forest of Paliomilos in North Evia.


Some copies of the freshly printed zine “Herbarium of Resilience” were on hand at this presentation. It was also our closing activity within the @acollectiveofcollectives festival, which was again a great success. We look forward to the festival next year!
